The Great Griffith Park Neighborhood Council (GGPNC) is an advisory Board to the City of Los Angeles City Council, certified by the City of Los Angeles to represent the Greater Griffith Park community of about 37,000 in City matters, as well as to improve the Griffith Park community. The 19 volunteer board members are official representatives in the City of Los Angeles. They also interact with people who live, work, and own property in the GGPNC boundaries and take your concerns and needs back to the City Council member or City departments.
There are 10 GGPNC Distrtict Representative spots that will be elected on March 20, 2010. Any interested candidates should act quickly as the filing period is open until January 19, 2010. The Board meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the Los Feliz Community Police Center — 2nd floor Citibank Bldg, 1965 Hillhurst, Los Angeles, CA 90027 and the meeting agendas are posted about three days prior to the meeting.
